Last Thurs., I had the pleasure of going to the Museum of Arts and Design which always has amazing jewelry pieces and is a destination for those that love accessories. I attended a lovely luncheon for A Conversation on Jewelry with Lynn Yaeger (Vogue Editor), Judy Geib (Jewelry Maker), Barbara Paris Gifford (MAD Curator), Raluca Buzura (MAD About Jewelry 2026 Artists), and Sabrina Formica (MAD About Jewelry 2026 Artists). At my table, I had the pleasure of sitting with Patrick McMullan who is a photographer known for taking images at various charities and nightlife. We also got to head from Barbara Tober (Chair Emerita of MAD) and Tim Rodgers (Director of MAD) who welcomed us as we settled in!

I always enjoy hearing about a topic that I am passionate about - jewelry, designers who made the pieces of interest, and more. In fact, 2 of the designers were also sitting at our table as we enjoyed a fresh salad, chicken paillard, and an array of desserts along with wine.

Once the luncheon and panel discussion finished, we made our way from the 7th floor to the 3rd to see this year’s Mad About Jewelry which had 45 designers from all over the world sharing their pieces! Seeing so many artistic styles, mediums, and more was great to take in! One of my favorite collectiosn were the cameos which has always been pieces that I have loved seeing. The ability to chat with the designers and to learn more from them and to understand their design point of view is always a great afternoon spent!
