SK STREAMING | S8 E. 28-33 LOVE ISLAND USA

This week’s Love Island Aftersun was packed! Tefi and Ciara broke down the episodes of this week and all thing Movie Night which was lik ean onion in the way it revealed so many truths! They also had the recently dumped contestants that included Jen, Jaiden, Caleb, Gal, and Amora. Hearing their thoughts and what they feel about the couples who are still at the Villa was interesting. In addition, it was great to see them initially turn their phones on, see what social media has been saying, and reconnecting with their family members. Apparently, this is the last week so who knows how everything will go down!
E29 as the Villa settles in with 5 people eliminated from Sat night’s show, we see Kenzie chatting with Dylan. She is upset with Melanie who she feels backstabbed her by the words that she said. Kenzie feels that she is supposed to explore. Sincere tries to share his thoughts about Kenzie because he explored as well and Melanie shut that down.
Corbin also explains why he felt like Sincere backstabbed him - he wasn’t being honest about the kisses that he gave and how he was navigating the women. Prior to Movie Night, he stood up for him based on the information that Sincere said. After watching Movie Night, he sees how it all went down and he doesn’t appreciate how he was used.
Sincere and Corbin talk and Corbin lets him know that he defended him and he didn’t even have the accurate information. Sincere says that he was being a real friend by calling him out where he was wrong when he saw what happened through the videos played during Movie Night.
Melanie and Kenzie also chat to clear the air. Melanie doesn’t want her to feel that she was coming for her but she felt that she explored because she wasn’t sure where her best fit woudl be. Melanie says that they don’t talk as much and that although she can see how Kenzie feels like she is Melanie’s best friend, she doesn’t feel like Kenzie’s best friend. She explained that when Sol was there - she didn’t feel like Kenzie was there for her. Kenzie kept chatting with Sol and being there for her and she didn’t realize that by her spending time with Sol, she wasn’t there for Melanie. The 2 come together and clear the air.
Another text arrives and the Islanders will find how their chemistry is reflected in harmonies with karaoke.
Everyone gets ready for their karaoke challenge with their partners. Ariana Maddix comes into the Villa and is all business. The challenge is sponsored by Cerave. The winners will be crowned the king and queen of the villa.
All the couples perform and some are better than others! Some throw in choreography and at least everyone had a good time. The least amount of votes went to Corbin and Parmida. Kenzie and Dylan won as the King and Queen or Karaoke. Ariana also adds that no one should be too comfortable because although they voted for another in this challenge, America voted for the most compatible couple and 1 couple will be dumped from the Island. All the Islanders stand up. The safe couples include: Aniya and Carl, Trinity and Bryce, Melanie and Sincere, as well as TT and KC. Everyone including TT and KC are surprised that they were safe and voted on by America. The vulnerable couples are Zach and Kayda, Parmida and Corbin, and Kenzie and Dylan. Kenzie and Dylan because they won the challenge have saved themselves from America’s vote. The remaining 2 couples that were selected by America and the Islanders will decide whose fates will be saved in their couples!
Each couple that is safe has to stand by the couple that they want to save. Parmida and Corbin only had TT and KC stand by them and the other 4 couples stand by Kayda and Zach to save them. When Corbin arrived, I didn’t think that I would end up liking him in the Villa. He acknowledged when he did things that were messed up and he kept people accountable. I hope that Corbin gets to be in an upcoming season of Beyond the Villa.
E30 the couples debrief from last night. Some of the couples wonder how they were so low like Zach and Kayda. Zach feels that America doesn’t think he is good enough for his couple. Kenzie is double timing the need to reassure Dylan. TT is shocked that they were voted so high as she thought that America didn’t like her and KC as a couple. Melanie is appreciative that they voted well as well. Zach goes to the bedroom and Bryce checks in on him to make sure he is ok. Kayda and Trinity chat and they are confused about what happened as well. The bromance between Zach and Bryce would be interesting to see if they do Beyond the Villa. It’s nice how they can get vulnerable with one another.
After all the couples have a great night with everyone paired in bed, the house gets up with the women getting ready and the guys making breakfast. Kayda is still hurt that she was on the bottom. Kenzie pulls some of the girls to the side and says that even though she won and she was safe, she wondered if she had been on the bottom and not safe, would she have had couples stand behind her. The girls say that she shouldn’t think about that as that is not what happened. TT says that she is glad that the girls warmed up to her and it’s nice to see how she has been embraced.
The girls get a secret mission that they have to do without getting caught. They decide which tasks will be done by who. They’re able to target each boy and get them all to jump into the pool. Once the challenge is complete, they let the guys know what was going on. Mostly the guys were game to do whatever they were asked to do - so this was definitely one of the fun challenges.
After the challenges were completed, they continue to talk with one another and the vibes are on another level. The girls prepare for the night as they get ready and decide how they will talk with their partner. Dylan feels that it’s time to talk with Kenzie because he recognizes that America voted the way they did because they have seen things that he may not have seen. Zach talks with Sincere and after his talk with Bryce, he knows that saying closed off doesn’t make sense as they all are in that status, but he wants something bigger without saying she is his girlfriend. He feels that that grey area is a big reason why they may have been placed in the bottom.
Kenzie and Dylan finally get the chance to talk and he lets her know that he talked with Carl. He wants to be confident in his pairing with her as he knows that America sees things differently. He lets her know he is scared about being part of a pattern as he can’t see every conversation that is taking place at the Villa. She tries to explain that she has said things to him that she has not said in terms of seeing her family and being on their boat etc. Dylan feels like he has every right to say what he is saying due to the actions that she has exhibited. Dylan moves on to talk with Zach to get his feedback. He knows that they won last night’s challenge and he was on a high, but when he woke up this morning he thought about the fact that if new people came in (which won’t happen as we are at the end), would she still choose him? Movie Night continues to play in his head due to the way that Kenzie chose to navigate her relationships. He tells Zach that he could have called her out, but he didn’t want to - Zach lets him know that he needs to talk to her and be real. Without him saying his full truth, they will have a hard time moving forward. Sincere and Melanie get the chance to talk alone and she lets him know that she is concerned about what their relationship will look like in the real world as a girlfriend, a fiance, a wife, and the mother of his children. Zach chats with Kayda about their life outside of the Villa and he lets her know that he wants to date her properly and be exclusive. They both agree that they want to experience outside of the Villa first as they see about what it is like on the road to being boyfriend/girlfriend. They agree that they are exclusively dating one another.
In E31, Dylan circles back to Kenzie and lets her know that when she told him that she wanted to bring him home to her grandparents and she has said that to a previous guy as well. He says that that is what makes him wonder if what they have is real. She says that she feels that he doesn’t trust her and that whatever she says is not good enough. He says he needs a reason to believe that the words that she has said mean something.
Kayda and Zach are now exclusive, but they are not boyfriend and girlfriend. Kenzie and Dylan are in a pecarious situation and Melanie and Sincere got to go in the Hideaway - how did that not go to Bryce and Trinity? Aniya and Carl are getting closer and I love seeing them together! Aniya gets a text and she gets all the girls to let them know that they get to go away from all the boys and they creep into the Hideaway to get Melanie! The girls get ready for a Girls Day as they quietly leave the Villa. The boys wake up and they see that the girls are gone! The guys bond over breakfast and the girls are at a waterpark living their best lives.
Sincere emerges and says Melanie isn’t there and the guys let him know that all the girls are gone. Interestingly enough, it’s cool to see how TT and the OG’s are connected. Melanie says they did a few things but not the full do and Kenzie says that they need to figure out their situation in order to go forward. I don’t know how they will work together as Dylan is not happy the way that she went about exploring and offering promises of an outside life. Dylan and Carl is the 2nd bromance that I like seeing. TT explains that she has never brought someone home before and he will be the first one and she gets emotional when she shares this with the girls. The support she gets from them is so nice. I didn’t think I would like her in the beginning, but to see how she stands 10 toes down, how she also bonds with the girls - it’s nice to get to know her more. Back at the Villa, KC says that TT is the oneand they will be closing it off and she will be his girlfriend. He’s going to plan a scavenger hunt with the photobooth being a clue.
Kayda shares with everyone that she is exclusive and Trinity talks about how much she likes Bryce especially that he is akward and kookie but that it works for her! All the guys are participating in making KC’s vision come to life with his big question for TT!
The girls are back from their day and they greet the guys! Everyone is reunited and they share that they were at a waterpark and they had it all to themselves. Zach says that he was so jealous as he would have loved to have been there.
The girls get ready for another night together. The boys begin setting up the scavenger hunt and now everyone is together again. We see Kenzie and Dylan together and they talk about the night before and how she wants to take accountability for what happened. He appreciates that she said that and he just wants to be in the outside world with her. He feels that he trusts her now.
TT does the scavenger hunt and is assisted by the Villa guys at various points. She gets to KC and he asks her to be his girlfriend. He is her first real boyfriend - they have had such a great journey and story!
E32 is underway! All the feels from Tues night had to carry us through to the Thurs night episode. KC explains that he wanted to put some thought into asking her. She says that everyone did a good job in making this all come together. Trinity and Kayda continue to talk about relationship terms. Bryce lets Trinity know that something is wrong and that they need to talk. Kayda says that she was happy when it happened and she let her know that Trinity calling it a situationship hurts her feelings. She lets Kayda know that where she is from, it’s a situationship, but if that is what works for her, it doesn’t matter what anyone says and she just wants the best for them. She lets her know that she is happy for her. Now Kayda is happy that they talked it out and she lets Zach know. All is well in the Villa.
Ooo it’s Family Day although the Villa doesn’t know it until Bryce happens to go outside and see a branded Coffeemate installation. He tells the Villa and then the text comes confirming it. Dylan asks if Zach is nervous to meet Kayda’s family since they slept together at the Hideaway. Bryce says the person who should be scared is Sincere! Everyone in the house is so excited to see their family members and are curious to meet their partner’s family. They wonder who will be showing up for them.
I love that the family for each member in the couple meet each other first and then come in together! Trinity’s mom and sister as well as Bryce’s mom and grandmother arrive first. The families get along and they are so proud of them individually and together. Granny asked what I have wondered - why didn’t they get to go to the Hideaway? I love that Granny said that they are fighting nature and need to be in the Hideaway AND that she has always liked Trinity! Granny is telling all of the secrets by shouting out to Kenzie that she knows about the Turtle Tongue. Trinity’s family says that everyone loves Brryce. Zach gets to meet Bryce’s family and they embrace him as well. Bryce’s grandmother is a firecracker - did he infer that she had been in a threesome!?!
Next up is Aniya’s sister and mom as well as Carl’s mom and sister arrive. Carl’s mom is stunning all 4 of the family members are so attractive. Aniya’s mom couldn’t believe that she let him go and loves the fact that they are together. His mom says that when they first kissed one another, she could see her as her daughter in law. She loves how she takes care of people and is so grounded and down to Earth! They tell her that she sugarcoats things when it comes to Melanie and it makes it hard for her to tell her things because she is good friends with Sincere too! The families are so happy for their partnership!
KC’s mom and sister arrive as well as TT’s Mom and cousin. The families seem so comfortable with one another. KC’s mom and sister love that TT is not a push over. They like each other’s families as well.
The next family Kenzie’s mom and brother as well as Dylan’s mom and best friend! The families have great synergy. Dylan’s mom said that she didn’t feel like Kenzie did anything wrong, but she lived that when Kenzie felt that Dylan was upset, she was accountable. Kenzie’s mom likes both of them. Kenzie got a text and her dad sent her a video saying hello. He let her know that even though he and her mom have a beautiful love story, Kenzie didn’t know about the beginning of their story and saying that they had breakups and mess and that is part of it too. Kenzie pulls Dylan’s mom aside and she wants to let her know that she really likes him and that when she realized that she hurt him, she said she was sorry. That says a lot about Kenzie that she wanted to be transparent with her.
Kayda’s mom and sister as well as Zach’s brother (former Love Island contestant) and sister came. The family’s got along well and they like both of them.
The final couple to wait for their family is Sincere and Melanie. Aniya touches base with Sincere to see how he is feeling.. Melanie’s sister and mom as well as Sincere’s dad and brother come to the Villa. Both families agree that they have a lot to talk about. But both families are happy to see the person that they came for. Both families sit down together and her sister says there is a lot to talk about it and she even calls out his use of Beloved. He says that he understands how much he hurt her and that’s not who he is. Her sister says that based on what she knows, she feels that how he acted is how he is. His dad says that she should know that how he acted was not who he is. His dad says that how Sincere acted is unacceptable and that he was raised with a moral compass that must be North and how he is, that’s not what he instilled in him. He explained that he came to Fiji to see his son - not to support what he did, but to course correct and ensure that who he raised acts in the manner that his family should!
Now that the families are in their own group, Melanie’s sister says that she doesn’t deserve this and that Sincere is not for her. She reminds her sister about who she is and that she is strong. She tells him that he is playing her and that she will just slow her down. Her mom says that her heart is sacred and that she shouldn’t let anyone steal her essence. She explains that a person can make a mistake once, but multiple times. She tells her why should you give him a second chance when there are others that want their first chance.
Sincere’s dad says he wants to have a good time, but the way he is moving, he would not sit at a table with someone like that. His dad tells him that he has looked crazy. Even his brother says there is exploring but he went all the way in in a way he shouldn’t. His dad says that leading the women on and cutting them down, that is not what he raised him to do. His dad says it’s not a given that he will be able to be with Melanie. To hear from his little brother and his dad, he knows he let them down. His dad said he only got all these chances because they were in the Villa, if they were in the streets she would be gone. Both families said they were compelled to come to hold up a mirror on what has been going on. Her sister lets her know that he isn’t going to change. Sincere says they are going to figure it out. His dad continues to apologize to Melanie and they are the only ones that do not take a picture together as a group. His dad left Sincere saying to take care of it and that they don’t need these problems. Her sister tells Sincere that she will be watching him.
Everyone’s getting ready for the night as it has been quite a day. The couples reunite looking refreshed. Everyone seems to be happy to meet their partner’s family. Aniya, Melanie, and Trinity debrief talking about her sister and how she came in ready to share her thoughts. Melanie even said that Sincere’s dad wasn’t happy about what is going on. Aniya takes her mom’s advice by telling her the truth that she shouldn’t be with Sincere because he is toxic. Melanie says that she would have liked to have heard it from her from the beginning as opposed to now sharing her true thoughts. Aniya apologizes for being a bad friend and Melanie says that she’s not a bad friend.
Kenzie and Dylan seem like they are on better footing with one another.
Melanie pulls Sincere for a chat. She asks him how she thinks it went. Sincere says he is ashamed of how he acted. She lets him know that her family was disappointed and upset. She tells him that he will have a lot of work to do not only to get back with her, but her family and it’s going to take many months. She tells him that she will be true to herself and not listen to everyone else and she wants to see what it would be like outside of the Villa. She will take a gamble outside of the Villa and if he messes up, she will no longer talk with him. She knows that she looks crazy to everyone, but she wants to see what he will do outside of the bubble that they have lived in. She tells him don’t make her look stupid and he must fix it with her mom.
E33 The aftermath of Family Day Sincere is in the hot seat. Everyone else is so happy with being able to see their families as well as to be with their partner’s family as well! Will Sincere be able to make a real go for it when it comes to being outside of the Villa? Melanie said that she doesn’t want to look stupid, but she will move with her heart regardless of what everyone else is telling her to do! Ultimately, I don’t think that they will stay together. Trinity, Bryce, and Aniya are watching Melanie and Sincere chatting with one another, they all say that the duo looks like they are happy with one another and Trinity explains that if Melanie is happy then she is happy for her and they all take a long sip out of their mugs - so it’s clear that they think that this is not going anywhere.
As the houses settles into their day, Dylan gets a text and the next challenge is on its way - I have never liked the food challenge and even Carl looks grossed out by what is about to go down! They make the best out of a gross challenge and have fun doing it - while being grossed out by it.
As they wash out the challenge, they get ready to get dressed together as they are enjoying a family style meal where they are all together. They talk about moments that they loved and how they have all grown together and become close whether you’re an OG or someone who was newer to join the experience. They also reflect on their own journeys in terms of who they were when they got there and how they have grown. They also talk about the fact that they have found great freiendships that will continue outside of the Villa. As they are vulnerable with one another and sharing additional insights, a text comes out letting them know that America has been voting to see the 4 couples that they want to see to go to the finals. Another text is sent saying that the couples with the least votes will be dumped immediately. Although they enjoyed their Chinese dinner, they will now open their fortune cookies to see who gets to say. Aniya and Carl open their cookie and they will continue on to the finals. Trinity and Bryce will continue to the finals as well. Melanie and Sincere will also go to the finale which is honestly such a surprise to me! You can feel the anxiety at the table with the remaining couples. Kenzie and Dylan will not continue to the finals but the note did say that their journey awaits them. The final couples open their fortunes at the same time TT and KC will be leaving the Villa which means that Kayda and Zach will be staying.
Both of the couples that are leaving are happy to continue on in the real world and they wish everyone that is staying the best even though they are leaving. Another text arrives and they are officially announced as dumped from the island and told to pack and to say goodbye. Of those that are in the final 4, 1 person was the first Bombshell - Kayda, 1 person came from Casa and the rest are OGs!
