On Fri’s we talk about events I attended and this week, you’re reading about 2 of them. We’ll start with an event I attended earlier this week for Layer Zero which focuses on shapewear across select hues. As this was their brand launch on a rainy day, I was excited to check out their collection, enjoy sips and bites, music from DJ Niks and being able to see the colllection up close and personal at WSA (it’s one of my favorite buildings for events - plus I love their elevators as you can see below) in FiDi. It’s important to remember that shapewear and lingerie are important components of a look being brought together where it’s an underlayer or you make it as an element that is meant to be seen.

If you read last Fri’s post it was a bit of a sneak peek as we were dropping Athleisure Mag’s FEB ISSUE #122 the following day, but now I can share more about this!

Back in our JAN ISSUE #121, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jack Hughes, NHL’s NJ Devils and 3X All-Star in our feature, The Ice Prince. This was right before he left for the Olympics to make his debut.

Fast forward, and we’re all enjoying watching the Olympics and cheering on Team USA Men’s Olympic Hockey team not only winning Gold, but Jack made the Golden Goal. We all know how busy he was from after winning, making his way back to the US, attending a number of events, and then being at the Prudential Center for his first home game post the Olympics on 2.25.26! That night we attended the game which included pre activations, his celebratory tribute, the game, and the post-game conference. That night we shot our editorial, The Ice King and of course, Jack Hughes is our front and back cover! You can see some of the images from behind the scenes, the game, and more!
