SK STREAMING | S20 E. 10-12 MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT

After the group therapy session, Married at First Sight continues with E10 to do the homework that has been given to them as they have 3 weeks left! Marissa and Adam dig deeper by asking questions that the experts gave them. When Adam tries to stay in a jokey sexual tone, Marissa says that they have to get deeper.
Nikki and Shawn also talk about how they have progressed so much, although I agree with the other cast members that it’s pretty quick to make a complete change with one another. Nikki says that she agrees that she needs to unblock in order to get into the sexual part of their relationship - although she has been so adamant about not doing that. So once again, it seems so quick that she has changed up.
Nick and Courtney continues to be bumpy as she feels that he is very surface level. When she talks, she says things that are very vulnerable and he just said he needs to be more goofy. She likes that he gave her cake and gifts, but she is not seeing the depth and connectivity that she is looking for.
The couples go to the mobster party which is at Felipe’s restaurant - odd that he owns the restaurant and is only doing appetizers and drinks on the house hmm. There is a moment where Nick worries that he is not able to sit next to her. Mecca and BelleJolle talk about the fact that it was ok that he shut down at the couples therapy. Nick also realizes that he is being avoided by Courtney - Devin even calls her out saying that it doesn’t look right and it’s not good to shut him out. Courtney then asks Caitlin to handle her husband that causes them to be in a fight as Courtney says she gets why she doesn’t like her hubby and can’t stand being with them. Then the whole table is drawn into the uncomfortable situation as a whole.
Mecca and BelleJolie talk with Paul. Mecca explains that he felt that during the group session he felt attacked by him, his wife, and Michelle. This led to him shutting down after he felt that he was engaging during the group dinner. Paul apologizes that he walked away with that feeling as that was not his intent.
We see that Nikki and Shawn are starting to get more intimate so maybe they are clicking? In addition, Devin and Caitlin seem to have made up. She likes that he is intentional about being accountable.
Michelle and Cameron go to her condo that she designed and we see how she gets to know more about who she is.
Of course, the sexual conversation between Nikki and Shawn goes very left. Shawn saying he didn’t say it was his wifely duty and that he didn’t say he needed a release - these things were said. Making her feel like she’s crazy for addressing this, is wild!
E11 continues with them talking about this and the communication between them seems shaky as usual. The couples go on a number of dates and some are vibing and others are really going down. We can see that Marissa and Adam are not on the same page - do we really think that she wants to live in his frat house? Does he not understand that she does not like playing pickleball? The couples all get ready to go out for a great dinner and with so many thoughts running around, this is going to be a firework filled night.
They talk with Nick and Courtney and you can tell that she is not feeling it. Shawn and Nikki talk about their experience and she says that they have learned so much and they are continuing to add to their sex piece and that they have had shifts and miraculous situations. They claim the conflict brings them closer to one another. Felipe shares that he and Tori haven’t argued, and he doesn’t know what it will be like for them. Marissa announces that she and Adam had a bad day. Adam says it was amazing for him with taking the jetset and playing pickleball and Marissa doesn’t like the sport or playing it for 3 hours when they need to focus on their world and what they need to do to have a relationship. Marissa says they haven’t gone on a date, they haven’t visited her friends - they have only done the things that he wants to do. Cam asks why they have to have the same hobbies? The experts who watch each of the group dates are blown away! I also like how the couples hold one another accountable!
E12 continues with the uncomfortable group dinner. The couples don’t agree that they have to have the same hobby! They ask her what does she think about this. Marissa says that she doesn’t want to do that - she can compromise, but to do all the things he’s asking - that’s not of interest to him. Adam acknowledges that his request is the one that is not normal. Somewhere there needs to be a balance but at least he recognizes that they need to get on the same page in the way that works for them.
When they look to Felipe and Tori, he shares that he looks for reasons to not be married to her - the experts can’t believe it along with the couples at the table. He then says if he was asked right now to get married, he would say no. Cam says that he wouldn’t get anyone better than Tori. Tori says that Felipe has work he needs to do and that it’s not for her to deal with his wishes. Felipe also said that he loves sleeping with a bunch of women - wait what? The table is definitely shocked and watching Tori stay composed with all of this verbal bombing, it’s such a shock that he would reveal this. Cam says that he needs to stop being a Peter Pan and Devin calls him out saying that he needs to check himself and stop sabotaging. Mecca validates Felipe’s feelings but says that although at the last group dinner that he said he was uncertain, that that is not his answer today. He lets them know that they grilled him and he didn’t like it, but he reflected. BelleJolie says that he is not performative he is just exaggerated. Michelle apologizes to him and says that she said that to him he lets her know that he was really hurt by her because he likes her. And he appreciated her response and values her opinion. The group also acknowledges that they like how BelleJolie is a ride or die for him and stands up for him.
Mecca calls out Courtney saying that he doesn’t get the connection and that many times she has his back to him. She explains that she is doing things to make changes and Nick hasn’t said what he is doing and since she felt defensive and it was brought up - she puts him on the carpet and asks him to say what it is.
Cam and Michelle are a great couple - I enjoy seeing how much thought that they have with one another. He’s not saying he will give up his coaching dreams, but he wants to be with his wife and although they are in separate cities - he wants to make it work. Devin and Caitlin are not in a great place and everyone is hearing how he doesn’t feel that she even likes him!
Most of the couples going home are definitely having awkward rides as they debrief on what they said.
