SK STREAMING | S16 E. 1 REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK

I took a mini break from shows and have a new one that you can read my recaps on! I have been a fan of BRAVO’s Real Housewives franchise for the past 20 years regardless of the city! RHONY kicked off on Sep 8th and each Fri, you can read what I thought about it! The cast got quite a shakeup with the reboot ladies (with a few exceptions), new people entirely, and bringing back one of the OG’s Carole Radzwill! With a very Sex and the City feel to introducing us to the newest season, we see a number of the ladies in their slice of life before settling on one of the new castmembers, Daisy who is a MUA and she is chatting with her friend and client, Martha Stewart! We realized that Daisy and Sai met each other at Scores a million years ago - who were not strippers, they were party girls! Martha shares that she sat down with JFK Jr to talk about George Magazine and she gave him advice on what he could do with his publication. In addition, she shares that that meeting was the day before he left to go to Martha’s Vineyard and she suggested that he should have a co-pilot.
Sai has moved to the Manhattan and we learn that her and Jessel are besties now! Sai also shares that she feels that her and David are not in a great place. Sai shares that she is the sole breadwinner, David just got a job, but it is not enough. She shares that she asked for a separation and that she has been living a lie. After apologizing to Jessel, Jessel says that there is nothing that she has to feel bad about and she is glad that she is finally sharing these details as she feels that there have been a bit of breadcrumbs over the past few weeks/months that things weren’t quite the way she was making them out to be.
We meet another new girl, Hailey who is rollerblading through the city with fur on - it’s a vibe. Erin, meets up with her at her home. She has an apartment that she shares with her husband as well as her pied-a-terre that is her own home. She dated Jon Gosselin at one time and at one time, the media scrutiny was that she broke up his marriage with TLC star Kate. Erin lets her know that her life has been crazy because she is having life moments and she feels that her kids are acting out.
We make our way to Jessel’s apartment and see her an her hubby together. We see that he is still involved in food influencing. We know that her father passed away last year which as a daddy’s girl was very hard on her. She is allso prepping for her Lunar NY party.

Daisy meets up with Sai at The Real Real as they catch up with one another as well as shop for an upcomig party.
It is the night of Jessel’s party and we also meet Erika who is another new girl. We know that she is married to a tech billionaire who rents her clothes. Hailey arrives with her date Allison, not her hubby Rubin. Of course, Erin is there and you can feel Jessel’s annoyance that she is there although she did invite her. Erika tries to figure out the tension between Erin, Sai, and Jessel. While Sai and Jessel chat with Hailey, they realize that Erin spends a lot of time talking about other people’s stories that are not hers to tell.
By the time Erin and Jessel chat, the tensions come to a boil. Jessel says that she feels that Erin has a smear campaign against her. They get into it and Erin is kicked out of the party by the owner.
It will be interesting to see how the season unfolds as it defintiely feels like the cast is bigger and there are going to be a lot of issues to unpack!
